Dr. Tyler BrittenOrthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Britten, an Amarillo native, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon. His specialty interests include the muscle sparing anterior hip approach, as well as being extensively trained in the robotic total knee arthroplasty. Dr. Britten specializes in reconstruction but performs a wide variety of surgeries on patients of all ages. These include operative treatment of traumatic fractures, sports injuries, and joint replacement of the knee, hip, and shoulder. He was extensively trained in orthopedic sports surgery at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, then completed his fellowship training in adult reconstruction at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Florida.
Dr. Britten was born and raised in Amarillo, Texas earning his bachelor’s degree locally from West Texas A&M University and then his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Science Center. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency training from Texas A&M College of Medicine at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Dr. Britten then completed his fellowship training in adult reconstruction at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He is board-certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
Dr. Britten is excited to be back in West Texas and is ready to offer his comprehensive experience in joint replacements or any of your orthopedic needs. What he enjoys most about orthopedics is the opportunity to make a difference in his patients’ quality of life. He is married to Holly and they have four children. He attends St. Thomas Catholic Church. Dr. Britten enjoys spending time with his family, mountain biking in the Palo Duro Canyon, and snow skiing.
